UMST University officially launched the 12th Prof. Mamoun Inter-University Football Competition on 9 December 2025, with eight universities taking part in a tournament dedicated to innocent children caught in Sudan's devastating conflict.
Professor Homeida opened the tournament with a moving address: "This tournament is more than football. It is a powerful reminder of the suffering endured by innocent children, and our commitment to building a better world for them."
Matches kicked off at the UMST Rwanda Campus in Kigali, drawing large crowds of students, staff, and community members. The competition served as a platform to promote unity, academic camaraderie, and the message of peace through sport.
