BSc — 4 Years | Coming Soon — Rwanda
Biomedical Engineering (BME) is an interdisciplinary field that applies engineering principles and methods to problems in biology and medicine. It bridges the gap between engineering and clinical practice by designing devices,
systems, and algorithms that diagnose, monitor, treat, and prevent disease. Core areas include medical imaging, biomedical instrumentation, biomaterials, biomechanics,
clinical engineering, rehabilitation engineering, and bioinformatics/medical informatics. The programme balances theoretical coursework with laboratory practice, project‑based learning, and clinical exposure where available.
