The Student Affairs office is dedicated to supporting the welfare, academic success, and personal development of every UMST student.
Our welfare team provides confidential counselling, mental health support, and personal guidance. Students experiencing difficulties are encouraged to visit the Student Affairs office at their campus or reach out via email.
Students requiring sick leave must submit a completed medical certificate to the Student Affairs office within three working days of returning to campus. Forms are available at the office or from your faculty coordinator.
UMST offers a range of merit-based and need-based scholarships. The Student Affairs office administers all scholarship applications and can advise on eligibility criteria and application deadlines.
Any matters relating to student conduct are handled by the Student Affairs committee in accordance with the UMST Student Code of Conduct. Students have the right to representation during any disciplinary proceedings.
