Rwanda's Minister of State for Education, Hon. Claudette Irere, paid an official visit to UMST University, signalling the government's continued support for the institution's academic development.
Discussions focused on the formal approval of new programmes including Biomedical Engineering, and on Rwanda's strategic vision for higher education. Minister Irere stated: "We are committed to ensuring Rwanda's higher education system remains globally competitive, and institutions like UMST are central to that vision."
Professor Homeida reaffirmed UMST's commitment to innovation, stating that "future education will focus on hands-on skills, research, and producing graduates who can solve real-world problems." The visit strengthened ties between UMST and Rwanda's Ministry of Education.
