UMST University bid a warm farewell to Dr. Zahir, the outgoing Dean of the School of Medicine, who has accepted a position at King Saud University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Zahir served UMST with dedication, providing academic leadership, mentoring generations of medical students, and contributing to the university's research and clinical training programmes. His departure marks the end of a distinguished chapter in UMST's academic history.
Effective 23 June 2025, Professor Bushra Hussein Ahmed Abdelmalik assumed the role of Dean of the School of Medicine. The UMST family extends its gratitude to Dr. Zahir and wishes him every success in his new role.
